This was what I shared at the morning devotion at school on 29/3/2006 and I would like to share it with all of you.
Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.-Psalms 96:8
God is King so He deserves the best from us. Imagine that when you visit a King on his birthday, you will definitely give him the best gift that you can find right? or if you want to do a performance for the king, you'll definitely practise really hard and give all you best. As His children, we should ive Him the glory that is due His name.
There are 4 ways to glorify God.
Firstly, when we worship God, we must devote ourselves wholeheartedly to Him. Even when we are tired or just stressed out. Remember that reverence come before rest.
Secondly, We should live a life that is honourable before God. As Christians, our attitude and character must project that God is living in us therefore we must reflect more of His character like patience, self-control...Even in stressful situation or when times when our friends somehow get on our nerves. We must continue to watch our actions and the things that come out from our mouth because our friends are watching us. Sometimes we have to ask ourselves and God whether our attitude and character is glorifying God or not?
Thirdly, we must share praise reports a.k.a testimony with one another. We must tell others of the things He has done for in our lives, the many blessings we have received and of His goodness to us. Just like what Lyvia posted earlier. By this others will know of God's goodness and give Him glory.
Lastly, is that we should not use God's name in vain. This is also one of the 10 commandments. When we get angry, we might use the name of God to curse other people. You can hear it in some movies or songs. This is like abusing the name of God and demeaning Him. Do you like your friend to use your name to curse others?

For those who on Wednesday have the 2nd recess which is obviously the Form 5. There is a prayer meeting at the place where the teachers always sit during Assembly. So far, only me and Christopher are the only ones coming regularly and Zhi Loon also said that last time there used to be a lot of people. So please remember to make come. Come and pray first then you can eat later.

I really do encourage you guys to go for the prayer meetings in school. Prayer is a very important tool in one's life. It is especially essential in the school where the school's CF is concern. Prayer works! Amen? Where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there in the midst of them. So please do take the initiative of going for prayer meetings. It will really help usher in God's presence into the school as well as help you grow in your spiritual walk with God. Do not be ashamed to pray. Have faith. Heb 11:1. Take care and God bless people!!
